Bad Film Club
Am just discovering with Max the wonder that is the Bad Film Club! Go along to see a rubbish film - in this case Who Dares Wins, about an SAS man going undercover to fight terrorists within the CND from the early 80s - and shout and boo and exclaim at its rubbishness along with the rest of the audience! Much fun. In this case, we were also joined by comedian Stewart Lee, from such BBC2/student comedy as Fist of Fun and This Morning With Richard Not Judy. No? Well, he's darn funny.
Highlights (or rather, lowlights) of the film include the rubbish terrorists storming the embassy to take a load of politicians hostage, and ordering that the men be separated from "the others". Er, that'll be the women then? Oh, and the chefs of course, who kept their chef hats on through the whole seige... There was some truly appalling dialogue delivered by the likes of Edward Woodward and a bloke off of that Ballykissangel. And the best way to evade people following you seems to be getting off one Routemaster bus and jumping onto another one. Cunning!
