Your Flexible Friend
Two reasons for posting this - one is that Ruth is paying for our meal by cheque, with suitable guarantee card.. the restaurant didn't take credit cards and we found ourselves staring at the prospect of having to wash up*, but for some reason unknown to anyone (call it fate) the lady had her chequebook in her handbag! Mary Poppins ahoy!
Said restaurant (and the second reason) was the branch of Little Bay off the Kilburn High Road. As is customary with Little Bay, the food was delicious and hardly cost a dime, the decor was quirky (we sat high up on bizarre turret things - fabulous) and we felt satisfied food-wise while Ruth had to write a cheque for a very small amount! Bring it on!
