3 days to Eurovision

[Update Feb 2009: Since writing this, I've actually moved all the Eurovision-related stuff off the EUROfiasco blog onto this one.. so the first few paragraphs of this no longer make much sense... sorry about that.]

You may be wondering why there's not been much said on Eurovision, given that it's only a few days away now to the first semi-final. (Actually, you probably aren't, because you know how rubbish I am at updating this blog, and also as you don't ex

ist, as the number of readers to this blog is pretty small. Somewhere between 1 and less than that, I believe. Apart from A - hello A if you're reading).

The other reason is that Eurofiasco.com is the main home of my Eurovision musings this year, as part of the web 2.0 enabled multimedia support to, er, the house party for Eurovision. (This is 2008 after all).

We are pretty damn excited about the whole thing, that's for sure. As ever most of the 43 tracks on the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 CD pass me by in a blur of dullness, but there are 11 good'uns on there that we have picked out, and as already mentioned herein, we are rooting for Charlotte Perelli and Sweden (looking radiant above).

We're also pretty fond of Iceland (see below), Malta, Ukraine, France (I know!), and Germany. Pretty worried that Iceland and Sweden will struggle to get through to the Final though as they are the first two songs up in the second semi, before people start paying attention. Luckily the UK will be voting in this semi - so we will be on redial.
