Blood, sweat and tears

Somehow I appear to have missed two days in the promise to blog every day until EUROfiasco kicks off. Many apologies - I know some of you are diligently watching.

Anyway - in the quest to keep you up to speed on what to look our for at Eurovision, we present our second favourite (well - ok - one of our second favourites. There are a few, which will be presented here over the next few days).

They are Euroband, and they are from Iceland. We quite fancy Rekjavik for a trip next year - and the song is great. Sadly it’s exactly the kind of thing that does hideously badly at Eurovision (cf. nearly any of the good songs last year, or poor Kate Ryan from 2006). However, here’s hoping. They are in the second semi-final alongside Sweden, Malta and other top countries. Surely at least a couple of them will get through?

We saw Euroband at the aforementioned UK Preview party, btw - and they entertained us all with a few decent Eurovision covers, including our own dear Lord Gina G’s one from 12 years ago [is it really 12 years already? My word doesn’t time fly etc etc - all readers]

Oh, and do “bare with” the video - it seems a little odd at first, I know. Those Europeans eh? It’s actually all quite funny really.
