Everything has a beginning

That beginning is now 12 days away - gorblimey, how did it get quite so close to EUROfiasco without a blog update in almost 6 weeks? That is, I’m sure you will agree, a bloody poor show for which we can only apologise (although we do plead Marathon-related insanity).

However, it’s time to rectify that. EUROfiascoUltraLite is not much more than a week-and-a-bit away, with Lite exactly two weeks today and 16 days until the main event. And, between now and then, we’ll aim to give EUROfiasco attendees and non-attendees alike a rough guide to what it is amazing about Eurovision 2008 (and what is, frankly, not).

One thing that we shamefully failed to blog was the Eurovision Preview Party at the Scala a few Fridays back - your hosts, plus Lee and Dom, represented the EUROfiasco jury and danced to, amongst others, Bucks Fizz, Euroband, and Nanne. And lots of other bands that the Red Stripe caused us (well, me - Carl) to forget.

Meanwhile, the whole show is back on 31 May at the Scala again with the UK Eurovision Winenrs Party - where, fingers crossed, Charlotte Perrelli (or maybe Euroband) will be strutting their stuff with pride and we shall be shaking our collective ass with excitement at a decent song winning Eurovision as we prepare for EUROfiascoLive Stockholm 2009 (or, perhaps, Reykjavik)...
