Vodka!

I write this with a bit of a cold, actually, so I’d best keep it brief as my head is feeling rather like a bowling-ball (which is a useful side-link to the new Alcazar video, as well as being true).

Now, one favourite means of respite for colds and other ailments is old-fashioned alcohol - in particular Vodka, neat presumably. [Heaves]. Which brings us on to...

Malta’s entry to this year’s Song Contest, by Morena. And it’s a fan favourite. And a gay favourite, which is not completely the same thing, although I guess with Eurovision the distinction is, at times, moot.

Anyway - enjoy for yourself. Malta of course had the fabulous Vertigo last year, which we all waved flags to with gusto both pre-, during, and post-Fiasco, but it was to no avail. This year’s song has a bit more of an Eastern/Verka/folksy hyped-up vibe which may help. I can also confirm that you will be signing it pretty soon after you’ve heard it, possibly for the rest of the day and fortnight.

Once again, bear with the video - there’s the usual minute-long random build up that is beloved of Eurovision videos (and, indeed, all pop videos these days). (Mind you, ‘twas ever thus).
