Top Banana
The fabulous return of Bananarama - which is going to make my Autumn - reminded me that I've still never actually seen the time when Mark and I went to Top of the Pops... the first and last time (and thank god we did, as a year later it was gawwwwwn).
It was the first of the Sunday night live shows, the final throw of the dice you might say... but who better than to premiere their new single to the nation than another British music institution?
Not that you can see us in this video - a) it's pretty low-res, b) the camera doesn't stop long enough to find us. We are there! Dancing away by the front of the stage! Loved it. The other highlight (aka the only other bit of pop) was seeing Inaya Day belt her way through Nasty Girl... where we danced away and realised after that a fat man had been gyrating vigorously next to us so we'd either definitely NOT be on telly, or be on telly looking like we're his mates. As nobody's seen fit to capture it for Youtube though, I guess we'll "never know".
