Stratford Short Story

So, a little day out yesterday. We:

• went to see the Olympic Stadium from the Greenway and had a delicious flat white
• had a stroll around some of the Bow Back Rivers, saw the £20m barely used Three Mills Lock and found the site of the first Big Brother house
• got a semi-secret bus from the arse end of Stratford station, drove past the under construction Athletes Village and got a high-speed train back to St Pancras from a vast, eerily quiet station
• ate Sushi

An enjoyable day... and the backstory is much better told by others via the links included above. It's all quite fascinating - especially to see how much is changing already. Think more visits to the Olympic site in 2011 will be in order to watch the transformation.
