Happy New Year!
Yeah yeah, bit later than billed - but you know that's cos I was in Florida, don't you? Unlike past times we didn't really blog or upload photos or anything while on holidays. I guess the difference between 2006 and now is that Foursquare and Facebook cover off the social side of things, to the detriment of course of actually saying much of substance.
Still, let's not dwell on that too much. I had a lovely time, that's what you need to know.
One thing that I failed to do this year was a round-up of the best music of 2011. This formed the basis of the last hour of the Battersea Bauble. Now this isn't comprehensive, but you'll find 10-and-a-bit of the best bits of pop of the year (if not necessarily the best performances thereof, but that's YouTube-on-the-iPad for you) here
(As ever, excluding Eurovision and Melodifestivalen, lest we'd be here all day).
For posterity - seeing as YouTube videos have a habit of disappearing, the 10 are, in no particular order:
Popjustice's Top 45 of the year is a pretty good way of spending some time in the company of pop, too...
